Inscription is a profession which is going to be introduced in the Wrath of the Lich King expansion. Players will be able to augment the cool down, damage, or mechanics (stun, knock back, DoT, HoT, etc.) of a spell. Will have 2 aspects, one side will be the augmenting of spells, but also will be able to create a new type of item (item type not yet revealed).
Inscriptions will be created as scrolls, so they can be sold at auction or traded among characters on the same account (unlike the way Enchanting currently works).[citation needed]

Trainers
It is expected that the Inscription profession trainer will be found in Dalaran-the new neutral city in Northrend. They may also be able to be found in the Alliance and Horde cities in Northrend, but as of yet that is unknown.
