Idol of the Wilds
The Idol of the Wild (or the Idol of the Wilds) drops from Kalazzius the Guileful in Val'sharah.
Also known as Malorne's Idol and placed upon the Altar of Malorne, druids have kept a sacred relic in Malorne's Refuge for thousands of years, a gift from the white stag himself, until the third invasion when the Darkfiend satyrs attacked the refuge. Broll Bearmantle and the new Archdruid came to the refuge only to find that the satyrs had stolen the idol. With the rescue of Sylendra Gladesong, she resolved to recover the idol.[1][2] The druids tracked the satyr raiders down to the path leading into Moonclaw Vale.[3] After obtaining information from the satyr, the druids defeated Kalazzius the Guileful and recovered the idol. It was then delivered to Remulos who kept it in the Dreamgrove.[4]
Remulos tasked the Archdruid with unlocking the idol's power by obtaining manifestations of the wilds - an essence of ferocity, regrowth, balance, and tenacity.[5] It was then used to commune with Malorne himself but doing so required conducting a ritual below Nordrassil with the combined power of many druids and the essence of the World Tree.[6][7]
