Overview

Places the Hunter's Mark on the target, increasing the Ranged Attack Power (RAP) of all attackers against that target by +X. In addition, the target of this ability can always be seen even if the target stealths or becomes invisible. Lastly the target also appears on the mini-map and is visible by the hunter's party. Hunter's Mark lasts for 2 minutes.

Functionality

Uses

  • The Hunter's Mark is generally used just prior to pulling a mob. Use of this ability provides both a +damage modifier and makes the target very visible for some distance (the pink arrow that is the trademark of the Hunter's Mark can be seen for several game-meters).

Limitations

  • PvE: Hunter's Mark is not an aggro-producing spell so the Hunter can cast Hunter's Mark and then decide the target is in too dicey an aggro area and forget about it. The effect wears off, including the arrow marking the target, in 2 minutes.
  • PvP: Hunter's Mark IS considered a threatening act and will flag you for PvP if you cast it on an opponent.
