Honor Levels (possibly also called "honor rank") are a new type of level up to 50 for PvP under the new honor system being introduced with Legion. Instead of leveling up via experience, honor levels will increase based on honor points. Similar to regular levels, honor levels will grant PvP-specific talents as levels increase.
In Battle for Azeroth EditThis section concerns content exclusive to Battle for Azeroth.
With Battle for Azeroth, PvP talents are instead earned in the regular course of leveling; the Honor system will be focused around open-ended progression that offers various cosmetic rewards for engaging in PvP.
By participating in any type of PvP, players will gain Honor and eventually Honor Levels. As Honor Level increases, players will earn rewards like titles, pets, mounts, and more. As Honor Level rises, they will also progress through a series of icons associated with their character frame and displayed prominently on Battleground scoreboards, showing off accomplishments for all to see. In Battle for Azeroth, Honor and the rewards earned through participation are all account-wide. All Honor earned by individual characters in Legion will be aggregated into a single account-wide total Honor Level in Battle for Azeroth.
For those who have already earned any of these rewards in Legion, they will retain them regardless of whether they meet any new Honor requirements.
