This article is a guild information page for Distorted of Icecrown US.

The contents herein are entirely player made and in no way represent official World of Warcraft history or occurrences which are accurate for all realms. The characters and events listed are of an independent nature and applied for roleplaying, fictional, speculative, or opinions from a limited playerbase only. Guild pages must comply with the guild page policy.

Alliance 32 <Distorted> is an guild of people who excel at playing World of Warcraft. It is not an uber guild nor is it strictly a "raiding" guild. Members are typically real people that balance game time with real life. These people may be professionals, may be married, may have children, and may have other responsibilities in life, but enjoy playing and excelling together. We pride ourselves on having a relaxed atmosphere. You won't find the strict rulings common in most large guilds. Players aren't forced to specialize a certain way, raid attendance is not required and loot is handled through a non-dkp system between the allied guilds. Members are expected to have fun and enjoy themselves with their guildmates.

Individuals seeking membership in Distorted can submit an application through the main website. It is reviewed by officers and evaluated based on class need and guild references.

Overview Edit

Guild Raiding Edit

<Distorted> raids weekly and tracks all raids via the guildportal calendar on the primary website. We also participate in a venerable and successful guild alliance with Clan Blackwatch and Amaranthine. Together with our friends, we've been able to tackle larger content that individually our numbers would not allow. A former member of the alliance, Band of Fury, particpiated in content up to BWL.

Guild History Edit

The nature of an online guild is entirely determined by the participation of the members. There are several groups of players within the guild that have played together for years online. None of these groups desire to control the guild with a heavy hand.

  • November 13, 2007 - The raid effort puts its attention on Zul'Aman with the release of patch 2.3.0. Karazhan and Gruul's Lair are mostly on farm status.
  • September 28, 2007 - The first full clear of Gruul's Lair is accomplished.
  • September 2007 - A troop of former Band of Fury friends that stayed on Icecrown join the ranks of Distorted.

  • February 2007 - Distorted begins a keying push for Karazhan as a number of members finish the grind to 70.
  • July 2006 - Amaranthine joins the guild alliance while Band of Fury breaks off to run their own 40 man raids. Band of Fury later transfers to the Area 52 server when a voluntary split of Icecrown is offered.
  • May 13, 2005 - The first full clear of Molten Core is accomplished by the 3 guild raid alliance.
  • November 2005 - Distorted joined the ranks of Clan Blackwatch and Band of Fury in a 3 guild raid alliance. The first MC bosses started falling shortly after. Alliance runs also started on Onyxia, ZG and later AQ20.
  • July 2005 - An open invite was established for members of The Happy Wanderers to merge into Distorted. This guild was primarily made up of Everquest refugees from the Luclin server with several years of experience playing together.
