Guild Vision Edit

Atic Atac was the vision of a few friends that have been through the mill of hardcore raiding, rushing home from work every night to make a raid, staying up late to farm pots, missing real life activities on the weekends to raid... In the end they stepped back and realised it wasn't for them any more. But they still wanted to experience the WoW endgame, and the camaraderie of raiding.

The idea behind Atic Atac was to capture the good aspects of hardcore raiding, and get rid of the bad aspects. Raiding is fixed to three nights a week:

  • Sunday 20:00 - 23:00 IGT
  • Tuesday 20:00 - 23:00 IGT
  • Thursday 20:00 -23:00 IGT

The raiding team is kept small, with virtually 100% attendance. Therefore only people who can raid at those times and days on a very regular basis are accepted into the guild.

The intention of keeping the team "small and cosy" is to build great team spirit and bring great success. Progress is fast and efficient, with players taking pride in the way they play.

Raiding is not as frequent as for serious progress guilds - but is taken just as seriously. Every member comes prepared with appropriate consumables of all available types and uses them as required to make raids even smoother. Great effort is taken to learn and develop tactics. All members can get involved in discussing how to improve.

Guild Information Edit

The guild is composed mostly of older people. People with serious relationships, jobs, families. The youngest members are 19 years old. (There is no age policy - it's just that the kind of people attracted to the guild are usually a bit older.) What this does mean is that in guildchat and on Ventrilo, there is a good atmosphere that adults can relax in.

Atic Atac is an international guild that uses English. The player base is mostly from England, Norway, Netherlands and Sweden at the moment.

Raiding started with Karazhan in June 2007, and everything was cleared in three weeks. The guild has built up enough players to run 25man raids, and started in August 2007 by killing Maulgar on the 5th attempt, and then Gruul on the 4th attempt.

All classes and (PvE-orientated) specs are invited to apply (through the guild website). All players who can skilfully use a PVE spec in a raid environment will be considered.
