A Short Incubation is an Alliance only quest in which the player must gather some potions to which will help to protect an egg acquired in a previous quest. This is part of the Freedom for All Creatures quest chain, which will eventually award the player with a baby sprite dragon pet, very cute and highly desired. The chain starts with [47] Freedom for All Creatures in Feralas.
How to Get This Quest
After completing [47] An Orphan Looking For a Home by talking to Quentin at the Mirage Raceway in Thousand Needles, simply talk to him a second time to get this quest.

Bring 2 [Elixirs of Fortitude] to Quentin in Thousand Needles.

The [Elixirs of Fortitude] can be made by an alchemist, either find someone with alchemy to make them or check the Auction House and buy them there. Return to Quentin at the Mirage Raceway in Thousand Needles once you have them.
Description
The Moonweavers, huh? Most intriguing. I wish the sprite darters could truly appreciate what it means to have those two look after them. They are both quite capable.
So, they gave you the egg as a gift. Well, then you should be responsible for it for as long as you desire. It appears it's almost ready to hatch, but we should ensure it's healthy and no damage has been done to it.
I only need two elixirs of fortitude for a small spell to protect the egg. I have the rest of the components here with me.
