This is a silly article

This article is silly. Coming from a source other than the computer games, trading card game, novels, RPG, or manga, its content is not part of official Warcraft lore, but nevertheless has become part of the culture belonging to the World of Warcraft community.

Goldshire inn, or the Lion's Pride Inn as it is officially known, is a loud, bustling den for all of the free-thinking, experimental roleplayers ('ERP-ers', to the uninitiated and ignorant). As a result, Goldshire is widely regarded by less mature patrons of Moon Guard RP realm as Pr0nshire.

When it started

Nobody knows when it started to become the hotspot it is today, but videos were being made in about 2009-10, so the change was fairly recent. There are theories that its close proximity and easy access to low level characters allows just about anyone to participate, if they choose to.

Many players dance on tables, and the occasional offensive/sexual emote (which is a reportable offense) can be seen. Many players roleplaying in there get reported for foul language and offensive names, while some people make characters specifically for rping in there to evade judgement. Add-ons such as Total RolePlay are used to create a profile which other people using the same add-on can see as well, and can include just about anything, so long as it does not violate WoW's Terms of Service. Sometimes there are some horde players upstairs, and the place is constantly under attack from Horde pvpers.
