Biography

Mstar does what the Dark Lady asks of him. He has never agonized over what he was told to advance the Forsaken cause. His missions haven't always been pretty, or even clear, but if it needs doing he does it. He is neither very pious, nor callous; he completes orders, and fills his spare time as best he can between.

Decades of soldiering between 2 lifetimes have left him with a lot of objectivity in regards to personal skills and doing as he is told. And at the end of any given... day, Mstar sleeps soundly. Not only is he already dead, but he has a sense of peace for serving his chosen service. If Sylvanis ever founded a knightly order, Mstar would expect to be there.

In the time between his missions, Mstar has oddly taken to collecting all manner of things. His most impressive collection is small companion animals, followed by his personal stable of mounts, and last but not least his wide variety of known smithing patterns (which primarily lacks large group patterns). He has been known to spend large sums of gold on any of the above items that he does not yet know. Mstar is also an accomplished cook but thinks very little of it. Soldiers need to eat and they are frequently hungry, so he pursued it like any other mission; to total completion.

Mstar has also frequently championed not only the Argent Crusade, but even the Argent Dawn before it. He tunes out the spiritual message of either order and charges forward to slay the Scourge at any turn. He saw the Scourge as not only a terrible foe that needed fighting but also had a measure of pity for the unwilling conscripts. As any Forsaken knows, they could easily be in that position themselves.

If anything drove Mstar aside from his duty to Sylvanis, it would be a cold fury to find out if the empty chest of Arthas was capable of bleeding anything at all. Mstar spent no small amount of time in Northrend but has not yet gone through Icecrown itself. He has heard that others have braved those damned halls, and considered that the Scourge activity around the world has been markedly less. If Arthas has been beaten, Mstar has several issues to resolve. Questions about the former Lich King are one of the easier ways to provoke emotion from him, and Mstar doesn't usually appreciate it.

History

Mstar has a lot of history. He is old for a Forsaken, and even in the dim, half memories of his former life, he was an old man (though he cannot remember his race). Mstar's first, clear memory is shortly after Lady Sylvanis deafeated Balnazzar. He was among the crowd that "came to" in Undercity and saw her speak. He feels he owes the Banshee Queen for the gift of free will, which he values above everything else.

As mentioned before, Mstar has several fragments of his former life, but none of them clear. He feels sure that he had been a veteran soldier of middle rank. He cannot recall who he fought for, or with, only that he had done it for a long time. Heavy armor and melee weapons felt at home in his hands. Once he finally had the coin for a horse, he found that oddly familiar as well.

It was shortly after he "awoke" that Mstar decided to take up the smithing trade, to help fill the Undercity armory. Poorly equipped soldiers fight badly, after all. Once he picked up a smithing hammer, he found the weight of it and the drone of the strikes to be comforting; he may have been an assistant, or perhaps was in charge of field repairs at some time. He believes Forsaken make some of the best craftsmen, as they have superb stamina for long work sessions, and even a catastrophic accident isn't much more than a temporary inconvenience once the parts are stitched back on and a little magic applied.

Currently

When not chasing new pets or mounts, Mstar is often found riding between Tirsfal Glades and the Plagelands. He plans to start a weekly march from Deathknel to Undercity for new "recruits". He is also very interested in rebuilding Silvermoon.

Extras

The Baron owes him a horse.
Has quoted in real life, many times, the Forsaken mantra of "Patience, Discipline..."

Out of Character

I've had a hard time not being myself on this toon, as it was my very first one. Despite server transfers and name changes, this toon was the very first, back in '04
