Word of Glory is a paladin-spell introduced in Cataclysm. It is one of the few abilities using Holy Power. While being a healing-spell, it is made to be used by all kinds of paladins.
Amount healed
Word of Glory is available at level 9 for 5

. The amount healed by the spell will then increase as the paladin levels up. This table shows the values of each fifth level starting from 10 (9 included).

Improvements
Talents
Holy
[Protector of the Innocent] will cause you to additionally heal yourself when you cast any heal on a target, yourself included. This will allow for some massive self-healing when combined with Word of Glory.- [Last Word] gives your Word of Glory a 30/60% increased critical chance when used on targets with 35% or less health.
- [Divine Favor] increases your spell casting haste by 20% and spell critical chance by 20% for 20 sec.
- [Conviction] gives you a 1/2/3% bonus to damage and healing for 15 sec after causing a critical effect from a weapon swing, spell, or ability. This effect stacks up to 3 times.
Protection
- [Divinity] increases all healing done by you and all healing effects on you by 2/4/6%. Another excellent talent in the self-healing category.
- [Eternal Glory] gives your Word of Glory a 15/30% chance to not consume Holy Power.
- [Guarded by the Light] increases your Word of Glory by 30/60% when used to heal yourself. Any overhealing will create a protective shield equal to the amount of overhealing that lasts for 6 sec. In addition, your Word of Glory will also cause [Holy Shield].
Retribution
- [Rule of Law] increases the critical effect chance of your Crusader Strike, Holy Shock and Word of Glory by 5/10/15%.
- [Selfless Healer] will, when you heal others with your Word of Glory, increase the effectiveness of the heal by 25/50% and increase your damage done by 2/4% per charge of Holy Power for 10 sec.
Glyphs
- [Glyph of Word of Glory] (Prime Glyph) increases the healing done by Word of Glory by 10%.
- [Glyph of the Long Word] (Major Glyph) causes your Word of Glory to heal for 50% less up front, but provide an additional 50% healing over 6 sec. NOTE: Not in-game at the moment.

Notes
- Word of Glory, in tandem with
[Crusader Strike], can be used to sustain a Retribution Paladin's health infinitely, to the point where the paladin can solo a normally 5 person elite mob. - This spell is very similar to the ability of the [Vial of the Sunwell].
