Frostwhisper Gorge

Frostwhisper Gorge is a canyon in southern Winterspring, just north of Darkwhisper Gorge. It is scattered with night elven ruins both at the bottom of the gorge and at the ridges above. A great bridge spans the gorge, connecting Darkwhisper Gorge and Hyjal to the south with the rest of Winterspring.

Several of the huge Frostmaul Preservers and Frostmaul Giants reside here. They are elite mobs of level 59 and 60, and drop  [Frostmaul Shards] for the quest Luck Be With You, which starts with Witch Doctor Mau'ari in Everlook. The giants also drop  [Starbreeze Village Relic] for the Dungeon Set 2 quest chain.

These Giants also have the greater frost protection potion recipe in their loot table, and therefore can be quite good to farm.

Notes

There is a hidden road to a gravesite. The road is in the eastern side of the gorge. A small bit of climbing will show a half-sunken Night Elf tower. There's a few flowers, a helemet, and a gun leaning on the gravestone.
