Beginning The World of WoW[]
By Clare Gilding: Last night, me and my geek of a boyfriend were talking and as always he was trying to convince me to play World of Warcraft. He's telling me about this free month trail you can get on it and how I know so many people who play it that I'll have help left, right and centre.
And now I'm beginning to give in. I don't know why because I've always had this big thing against WoW, it's just pure geekery and if I play it then I'm either saying I am a geek or that the games not as geeky. He must have said something to sweeten me up or just broke me down to submission (I think he'd prefer the latter and so would I, I don't give in to flattery).
This feels like the end, I guess I'll hear a chorus of cheers once the word gets past around.
So just to clarify here is my statement and I say it with woe and sadness: "I regret to inform you that I will begin to play WoW as soon as I've handed in all my work (basically Thursday)."
The world must have stopped turning! Though my boyfriend is jumping up and down so much i wouldn't be surprised if he got it moving again. Honestly, anyone would think it was his birthday.
Have i made a mistake? Is the game geeky or am I the secret geek? well, as i'm doomed to play it, i'm gonna need some tips too.

- Haha, there are some geeky points to it but I know a lot of normal people who play too. If you're already on this site, you were already likely doomed to it though. Have fun, it is a good game, just watch out you don't get addicted. Oh, and welcome, let us know if you need anything. --Pcj (T •C ) 13:22, April 20, 2010 (UTC)
