Forums: Village pump → How to insert images to ability descriptions
(This topic is archived. Please do not edit this page!)

I've seen in many boss fights that the abilities have images next to them. When I tried to edit (simply so I can look at how to do this), it is very complicated. I tried to do this for a different ability somewhere else (simply to test) with a different image) and it didn't work. I tried all that I could think of, even going to wowhead and finding the spell number, but it still doesn't work! how do you make it work? Can someone explain this?

Thanks ahead of time. --Sheffi (talk) 03:45, March 14, 2010 (UTC)

Do you mean articles using the {{abilities}} template? or something else? Can you give an example. SnakeSssssssssssssssssssssssss Coobra sig3For Pony! (Sssss/Slithered) 04:02, March 14, 2010 (UTC)
Like on The Lich King (Icecrown citadel tactics) page, all attacks have images next to them.Sheffi (talk) 13:35, March 14, 2010 (UTC)
Hmm, that's cause its using the template {{abilities}}, while I agree the template was made overly complicated (and forgive me cause I made it), it was made to standardize how pages would look with abilities on them, cause everywhere ya went it had an different appearance and would get annoying trying to read through them sometimes. If you click the link provided (the abilities one) you'll see an overview of how it works. SnakeSssssssssssssssssssssssss Coobra sig3For Pony! (Sssss/Slithered) 22:32, March 15, 2010 (UTC)
yes i looked at it, and even added some to two of my fights (look on my profile)
