Let's say that one night, a girlfriend who's had enough of a guy being too deeply committed to World of Warcraft, deletes his characters.

Instead of smashing the screen, hurling other items, and throwing fits like 1st graders do, couldn't the (former) boyfriend call up WoW Technical support and ask the technician to restore his characters?

This example below is most certainly not going to bring his characters back. It just made him as infamous as the Star Wars Kid.
