The forgotten ones are massive and powerful tentacle-bearing aberrations living in the deepest reaches of Azjol-Nerub. Forgotten ones seethe below, eager to return to the world above.Template:Cite One appeared in a Frozen Throne mission, where it was defeated by Arthas and Anub'arak as they journeyed through the lower reaches of Azjol-Nerub (though others may appear in WotLK).
The forgotten ones lead the mysterious faceless ones. They can "spawn" armies of tentacles to aid.
The skeleton of the creature at the Master's Glaive in Ashenvale is said to be a "dead" forgotten one.Template:Cite
The Frozen Throne
In the frozen throne was an entire chapter entitled The Forgotten Ones in order to point out that there are more than one of the creatures. Even Anub'arak points out that the forgotten one fought by Arthas was but one of the creatures, "a forgotten one".

Blizzplanet claims that the Old God Yogg-Saron is the Forgotten One that King Arthas the Death Knight fought alongside Anub'arak in the Warcraft 3: Frozen Throne Undead Campaign Chapter 7 [1]. However, forgotten ones may just be minions of the Old God.
