Sometimes also known as a "Melee Mistweaver" or "Meleeweaver".

Origins Edit

The popular term "Fistweaver" was noticeably first coined by "Abysal" on September 1st, 2012 on an MMO Champion forum[1] before the expansion's official release on September 25th, 2012.

Definition Edit

The term is used to define how a Mistweaver spec of the monk class can heal nearby allies while attacking mobs. Additionally, monks fight with their fists as a primary means of attack. Therefore Fistweavers as opposed to "Mistweavers" has gained much popularity among the gaming community.

Current popularity Edit

The term since then has gained much attention on World of Warcraft forum website.[2]
