The emissaries are members of the Alliance that were sent in representation of a high rank commander or a king. During the Third War three of them appeared.

A Dark Covenant

After Kael'thas repaired three observatories Lord Garithos took his forces to battle the Scourge and left Kael awaiting orders. The next day an emissary arrived bringing news from Grand Marshal Garithos, he told Kael that the observatories he repaired detected a large undead force leaded by Dalvengyr and that he had to crush them before they could march on Dalaran. Kael was to confident that his forces would defeat easily to Dalvengyr, unfortunately, Lord Garithos also ordered all foot soldiers, cavalry and support teams to meet him in the front lines, leaving only the Blood Elves. Kael demanded the actions of the Lord Garithos but the emissary just replied that Garithos had great confidence in Kael's abilitys (in a rasist voice tone) but wished him luck saying "Be creative".

To Tame a Land

During The Founding of Durotar Thrall received a letter from the human leader to meet in Razor Hill, Rexxar was informed and suspected a trap, so he went in the place of Thrall but when he arrived he didn't meet the human leader, instead he found an emissary. The emissary surprised to see a Half-ogre instead of the orc Warchief, he revealed to Rexxar that he wanted to kill the warchief but with Rexxar would be enough. As Rexxar suspected it was an ambush from Kul Tiras, but he brought with him Chen Stormstout, Rokhan and Misha, they fought back and killed the humans. With his last strength the emissary told Rexxar that it was only the beginning of a greater invasion, dying moments later.

Notes

• Though their stats are not seen in the campaigns in the World Editor they have the same abilities and almost the same stats of a priest (just some small variations).
• The three emissaries are impled to be different persons for the following:
  • The three of them have different voice actors.
  • The Alliance Emissary is a High Elf and Garithos wouldn't allow a non-human race to battle at his side when he left to die all the Blood Elves.
  • The emissary of Garithos' army have a rasist tone when speaking to Kael, so he may not even be an elf.
