Holy Wrath is an AoE spell used by Paladins, dealing instant damage to multiple targets around the Paladin, and stunning Demons and Undead for 3 seconds. It is used by Retribution Paladins for damage, and by Protection Paladins (tankadins) for drawing aggro/generating threat.

Protection
- [Wrath of the Lightbringer] (Tier 3): Increases the damage of your Crusader Strike and Judgement abilities by 50/100%, and increases the critical strike chance of your Holy Wrath and Hammer of Wrath spells by 15/30%.
Retribution
- [Divine Purpose] (Tier 5): The following attacks have a 7/15% chance to cause your next Holy Power ability to consume no Holy Power and to cast as if 3 Holy Power were consumed: Judgement, Exorcism, Templar's Verdict, Divine Storm, Inquisition, Holy Wrath, Hammer of Wrath.

This glyph is intended for the primary enemies the player encounters in Cataclysm; the black dragonflight and the denizens of the Elemental Plane.
Notes
- While Holy Wrath will deal damage to any type of enemy, it will additionally stun Undead and Demons. However, it will not stun Forsaken NPCs or players, who are Humanoid (not Undead), except for the Abomination guards in Undercity because they are classified as Undead.
- Holy Wrath is subject to diminishing returns in both PvP and PvE.
Tips & tricks
- Holy Wrath is the second best aggro-grab spell that the paladin has, the first being
[Avenger's Shield]. Holy Wrath, unlike Avenger's Shield, will hit all surrounding targets and must thus be used carefully if cast in instances with large amounts of clustered mobs. - While Holy Wrath is intended for causing damage and generating threat, Holy Paladins may also make use of it for its stun. A three-second stun on several opponents may be a lifesaver if one or more players in your group are about to die. When using this trick, be careful not to draw aggro.
Patch changes
Patch 4.0.1 (2010-10-12): No longer uses ranks. Affected by new talents, along with the new resource Holy Power. - Template:Patched
- Patch 2.4.0 (2008-03-25): [Libram of Wracking]: This item now increases the damage on Holy Wrath and [Exorcism] instead of decreasing their mana cost.
- Patch 2.3.0 (2007-11-13): Mana cost reduced.
- Patch 1.6.0 (2005-07-12): Now actually shoots bolts as per spell description.
