The Commons
The area known as the Commons is the main throughfare for trade in the City of Ironforge. It contains the Bank, the Auction House, the inn, as well as a few shops. The Commons is always the busiest and most crowded portion of the city.
To get to the Commons, you can head northeast from the Gates of Ironforge, southwest from the Great Forge, west from the Military Ward, or south from the Mystic Ward.
What with it being the location of the original Alliance auction house and faction population imbalance on the side of the Alliance, this area has become legendary for the lag it creates, and the pits with nets in them have been deemed "the lag pits" due to many a player falling into them without knowing due to massive lag. Even with auction houses now stationed in every city, be prepared for a lot of lag even if your internet and computer are top of the line.
