Kajaro Field 2

Kajaro Field in eastern Bilgewater Port.

Bilgewater Port was Kezan's primary port city, located on a bay on the island's northern coast. Goblins of the Bilgewater Cartel oversaw operations here until it was destroyed.

History[]

Cataclysm This section concerns content related to Cataclysm.

Bilgewater Port was a massive industrial complex located on the northern reaches of Kezan. Controlled by the Bilgewater Cartel, it housed many important goblin buildings such as the First Bank of Kezan, Gallywix's home or the Kajaro Trading Company headquarters.

During the Cataclysm, the fallen dragon aspect Deathwing forced Mount Kajaro to erupt, forcing the goblins of the Bilgewater to flee the island which led to their wreckage in the Lost Isles. After the eruption and the evacuation of the surrounding areas, it was reported that the port city was destroyed by the searing lava and tidal waves that followed.[2]

Geography[]

The city is divided by walls into four 'districts' surrounding a massive inaccessible factory. The districts are: Swindle Street to the north, an unnamed district to the east that contains Kajaro Field, Drudgetown to the south, and another unnamed district to the west that contains the First Bank of Kezan, a food court, and some housing. There is also a gas station in the northern part of it, across a large road. The port is flanked by Gallywix's Villa to the west, and KTC Headquarters and Kaja'mine to the east. The shore of the port is known as the Slick.

In Cataclysm[]

Despite the zone being called Kezan in-game, the goblin starting area is located totally in the Bilgewater Port. Despite its name, the in-game representation of city houses no docks of any kind other than a private one belonging to Trade Prince Gallywix (which is not even connected to the port itself rather to his villa). Bilgewater Port is mostly inhabited by Kezan Citizens going about their daily lives.

Kezan2

Bilgewater Port in Lands of Mystery.

Bilgewater Port, Kezan's primary port city, is located on a bay on the island's northwest coast. It bustles at all hours, with ships arriving and departing in perpetuity. Cranes load and unload. Sailors embark and disembark. The docks are noisy and crowded, with visiting races rubbing shoulders with the native goblins, and the goblin merchant sailors who arrive to drop off and/or pick up their goods.

Bilgewater is a port in the South Seas, and the only one worth mentioning that exists between the western and eastern continents; as such, it sees a lot of activity, and races of all types are found here. Bilgewater Port is connected to goblin enterprises all over the world and is linked directly to Undermine. A circle of goblins called the Bilgewater Cartel oversees operations here. Whatever you are looking for, you can find it in here. The waterfront boasts inns, taverns, gambling halls, theaters, pleasure houses and numerous other businesses that cater to sailors and visitors. Deeper in the city, small shops of every kind fight for space on the cobblestone streets.

While people come to Bilgewater Port to trade normal items, anyone looking for contraband, especially pricey stuff like magic items and political prisoners, go to Bilgewater's much smaller cousin. The port town of Edj on the opposite side of the island.[3]

The Bloodsail Buccaneers frequent the taverns of the port city, and it was in Bilgewater Port where Wallace Boltscrew met her lover Annetta Crank.[4]
