Captain Thornby was a Kul Tiras officer serving under Admiral Proudmoore in Kalimdor, during his invasion of the continent. He was stationed inland, outside of Vol'jin's new base camp, but was killed by Rexxar, Cairne Bloodhoof, Chen Stormstout, and Rokhan.[1]
