The "Next X" links on category pages appears to be broken. It just reloads the page with a new URL. I don't know if this problem is with MediaWiki or the site. —EGingellTC Treader of Cenarion Circle 07:40, 25 October 2011 (UTC)
- The URL on these links should use from= and until= instead of pagefrom= and pageuntil=. Not sure what's going on, I'll look at it. --Pcj (T•C) 13:46, 25 October 2011 (UTC)

- This is a bug that made it into the 1.17.0 release of MediaWiki. The non-release version 1.17wmf1 has this problem fixed (I'm unsure how to obtain it), and 1.18 certainly has the fix implemented. 1.18 is still in alpha however, and we can probably expect it in 1-2 months time, as WM is still fixing bugs on their sites. --Sky (talk) 17:35, 25 October 2011 (UTC)

It's a feature (and an extension conflict, which is now resolved): in 1.17, subcategories, pages, and files in a category paginate separately. See for instance Category:World of Warcraft rare items: previously, you could not see the sub-categories unless you were also viewing items starting with W; now, you can see all of the subcategories regardless of where you are in the page list.
As a side effect, {{bigcat}} no longer provides navigation links for all types of categories; large categories containing images need to have {{bigcat}} changed to {{bigcat|type=file}} in order for the bigcat-provided navigation links to work. — foxlit (talk) 01:14, 27 October 2011 (UTC)
