Arcane elemental

An arcane elemental is an elemental. It takes on an aspect of the arcane.[1]

In World of Warcraft, arcane elementals are represented by models that use the same shape as those of mana surges, but that glow white and violet instead of being blue. There are also three powerful and named elementals (Anomalus, Arcanimus, and Vexallus) that appear to be more powerful versions of arcane elementals. Ethenial Moonshadow calls Arcanimus a "monstrosity", but their elemental nature and arcane substance is evident. These beings have also been called "voidwraiths" by players due to their superficial resemblance to such demons, but there is no indication these creatures are related to the Void in any way.
