Галакронд был массивным протодраконом, который известен как "прародитель драконов". Он был угрозой с которой пять прото-драконов разных цветов справились объединившись. Говорят, что из него Титаны создали Аспектов, но это слух, который Аспекты активно признают, так как держат правду о Галакронде в секрете от остальных драконов.
Его размер был больше, чем все Аспекты вместе взятые. Он был настолько огромным, что возможно в размерах он мог сравниться только с собой. Его рев можно было услышать на мили вокруг, а взмахи его крыльев порождали сильный ветер. С течением времени, тело Галакронда покрылось отвратительными мутациями: конечностями и глазами. Галакрон был не всегда таким большим и его ранее тело было более гладким. Его мутации образовались из-за поедания других протодраконов и дополнительным результатом этих мутаций было то, что его жертвы вернулись нежитью.

История

In prehistoric Azeroth, the proto-dragons lived in fear of Galakrond. On a day when dozens gathered to hunt, Galakrond appeared and took their prey, terrifying them all. The blue-white proto-dragon Malygos was curious as to why Galakrond would hunt in that area when he never had before, to which his new friend Neltharion responded that there was more food. Malygos, however, was quick to point out that the food was their food.
As proto-dragons began dying brutally, becoming nothing more than shriveled up husks of skin and bone, Malygos grew to believe Galakrond was somehow behind it. A terrified purple proto-dragon crying "Swallowed them up! Swallowed them up!" only backed up Malygos's theories.
Some time later, Galakrond began devouring dozens of proto-dragons. Kalecgos, who was seeing this time through the eyes of Malygos, noted that his neck seemed bloated. No one could understand why Galakrond was eating them, and as Malygos dove for cover the massive dragon's jaws surrounded him.
Galakrond was ultimately defeated when Malygos and Neltharion lodged a boulder in his throat, choking the monster to death.

More than 10 000 years later a taunka named Buniq was trying to prove herself worthy to her mate Akiak. Akiak along with Trag Highmountain found her corpse near the remains of Galakrond in Dragonblight. A bone fragment from his corpse was retrieved by Trag. He could see its potential and took it with him.[2]
Wrath of the Lich King
Some time afterwards, Grand Necrolord Antiok was put in charge of an effort to raise Galakrond to undeath. His plans and work was thwarted by the adventurers.[3]
Cataclysm
When Deathwing attacked the Wyrmrest Temple for the second time Galakrond's boneyard was used by the Twilight's Hammer as an assault point against Thrall and his companions.
