Could we make a proposal to shut down WoWWiki or somehow fold it into Wowpedia? I don't mean to troll. I just think it would be the merciful thing to do. It seems like a lame dog who's in too much pain and needs to be put down. [[User:Gallahan|Gallahan]] ([[User talk:Gallahan|talk]]) 19:46, December 11, 2010 (UTC)

  1. No Fandyllic 05:16, December 11, 2010 (UTC) - (Heavy-handed and unnecessary.)
  2. No SeraphimXI (talk) 12:35, December 11, 2010 (UTC) - (Trying to pass policy changes the normal way is just silly in this situation. Stop pretending to care about what the "community" wants. The consensus of the "community" was to abandon this place. If you are trying to create a new community here you should be working with editors that want to stay here despite them knowing about the fork. Preventing editors/readers from knowing about the other Wiki and banning links to it due to preventing poaching means that you are actively trying to keep people here through ignorance. I'm sorry Raylan13 your most likely a nice person IRL. However your going to have to dictate these policy changes via something like WP:OFFICE of adding them to the TOC. Pretending to have any "consensus" on any policy changes right now is ludicrous.)
  3. No Resa1983 (talk) 13:03, December 11, 2010 (UTC) - (Essentially this new proposal would end up resulting in people getting banned for saying "Elitist Jerks has better theorycrafting, you should check there" or "El's Extreme Anglin' is where you wanna go for anything to do with Fishing" when its an entirely reasonable response to a user query. Wowwiki contains the basics, but these 2 example sites are specialized, and contain much better information for the subjects they cover. The fact that Wikia/Raylan tried shoving this policy down wowwiki's throats without a vote in the first place makes me want to vote No even more so.)
  4. No --Kris talk - (We don't need a policy handed down by Wikia. Policies should come from the community, not the host.)
