I never really played the game, i just wanted to hear the community!
Definitely Mists of Pandaria. People got hung up on the Pandaren as a fake race and pet battles as MMO pokemon, but the expansion has great lore, diverse geography, beautiful scenery, cool instances, and challenging fights. You also got a farm and the awesome fishing raft (which doesn't break like the water strider with the mount socket thing).
Unfortunately, level scaling broke some of the fights such that they became too difficult at appropriate levels bcuz the gear was underpowered and the bosses and pseudo bosses (quest fight bosses) were overpowered. The tuning was never fixed as far as I know.
MoP for sure! Had the most fun ever in that expansion
I totally agree - MoP is so much better than people give it credit for.
I personally feel WOD gets a lot of unnecessary hate, it had some pretty uninspired design but the Garrison was a fun addition at the time. I also enjoyed the dungeons and raids for the most part. I think we all get blinded when there is a new expansion, we want more, but we don't want change. The fan base as a whole will never be happy with what we get but a few expansions later we look back foundly.
Agreed I never understood the degree of hate WOD recieved, they tried some new thing and made some mistakes but overall I still had fun
WoD wasn’t bad, but it’s lore was pretty unbalanced and the way Tanaan Jungle works is pretty crappy.
Agree with MoP choice.
I stopped playing for awhile and left right after I hit 90 at MoP, i enjoyed that expansion.
I’m at WoD now (still holding off on Legion) and I like it but I miss MoP and find myself going back just to fly around, plant some crops and justify my trip with a legit pet battle Hahahah
It's too bad that Pandaria wasn't that connected to the rest of the lore. It is a very nice continent. I usually only go back when I'm leveling a character, but speaking of pet battles, I still need to do the Celestial Tournament, so I'll be back at some point.
