A standard ability (or power) for classes that can use ranged weapons to fire the weapon. Hunters do not have this ability. They have Auto Shoot instead. Shooting in WoW is not that much different from other MMORPG games. A player with the ability to shoot in most cases moves to maximum range and then fires his ranged weapon. Shooting is very useful for finishing off an opponent or dealing damage while avoiding the same. Some classes, most notably, the Hunter, depend heavily on ranged weapons and dealing damage from afar with the same. It must be noted, that with the exception of Wands and Thrown Weapons, all other ranged weapons use some kind of ammo. Thrown weapons lose durability instead.
